"When will you realize? Vienna waits for you..."
.

We took a guided tour of Vienna by bus and on foot today. What a joy to return to this magical city! Above is the memorial statue of Maria Theresia, who ruled for over 40 years and gave birth to 16 children.
.
The tour guide made note of the beautiful weather, citing the record breaking heat of 2015, which was the year we last visited with Carrie and Sally.
.

At the end of the tour, we chose to stay in the city instead of taking the bus back to the ship. We sat at an outdoor cafe for coffee and enjoyed people watching in this popular city. Many other tour groups, many beautifully dressed city folk, many Asians. Fascinating.
.
We checked out St. Stephen's Cathedral and walked over to the famous Mozart statue.
.

After paying our respects to the master, we made our way over to the beautiful Volksgarten Park.
.

.

John and Kerry allowed me to take their picture inside the art installation in the pillared building above:

We stopped at Rathausplatz for a light lunch and then wound our way back to the city center through Michaelerplatz. Here are pictures of the magnificent Town Hall and some of the statues in Michaelerplatz:

We took the subway back to the ship and got ready for another magnificent dinner!
