The skies were a cloudless blue on this Tuesday of our Dingle week. Dan, Greg, Kaylin, and Steve decide to play nine holes of golf at Castlegregory Golf course on the west coast of the Dingle Peninsula. The course was beautiful with the first three holes featuring views of Lake Gill and the mountains and the last three holes overlooked the Atlantic Ocean. The sun was warm and the air crisp. Simply spectacular.

The golfers got off to a rather slow start, but by the 3rd or 4th hole were shooting par or close to it. Since it was not too crowded, the pace was quite relaxed.

Meanwhile, Carrie, Sarah, and Sally came along in the second car and hung out in the clubhouse or out on the patio. I walked around with the golfers to take pictures and enjoy watching the players. After the fifth hole, Steve ducked out and the five of us took off to explore the area.

First we stopped at the the longest stretch on the peninsula, Magherabeg Beach. Though the hardy Irish folk celebrated the weather by swimming (examine the image below carefully), we were dressed in layers and went hunting for seashells and ocean rocks.

When the call came in from the golfers, we met up back in Castlegregory at a little restaurant called Gregory's for coffee and a snack. Then we found another beach to walk and took some pictures of the group.

Back in Dingle, we found the J. Curran Shop and Bar:

We walked around downtown:

What a wonderful day and a beautiful night!
